1080 Ti @ 3GHz? How?

Overclocking is an art, and the artists wont stop overclocking.
And when it comes for the world records…People really push it to hardcore level
with all that Liquid Nitrogen and stuff.

LN2 COOLING

LN2 cooling is popular among the overclockers, whether it comes to the CPU or GPU overclocking.
The only way to make the impossible…POSSIBLE.
And that is where the EVGA’s in-house overclocker, KINGPIN comes in.

KINGPIN to set the World Record

KINGPIN, the person to setup new world record by overclocking the NVIDIA’s GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition Graphic card beyond 3.0 GHz.
Using the right material and experience KINGPIN was able to achieve 500 MHz boost
from the previous Record.

Previous record on the same GPU was 2.5 GHz. This time however we saw 500 Mhz Boost.
KINGPIN once again has shown us that nothing is impossible and surely overclockers are working hard to push it beyond the limits.

EVGA tweeted about this saying
“Extreme Overclocker Vince “k|ngp|n” Lucido breaks 3GHz on EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti… & it is just the beginning…”

Its curious to see how they stated that it is “Just the beginning” in the end.
Which give’s us a little clue that they will try pushing it further.
Or if they already done? Well who knows, we’ll be keep you update if there is anything like that!
