Rumors are out ever since it was first mentioned by the users and during this whole time, we’ve seen people talking about it like crazy. A few sources managed to leak the design and estimated specs and by this time actual dummy models were created by companies to show users how will the iPhone 8 look like.
The iPhone 8 has been the center of discussion for the past few months, And by this time, quite a lot of information about iPhone 8 has been leaked. Glass body, Missing home button iris scanners, 3D facial recognition technology and a lot more. Users are looking forward to get their hands on it as soon as possible and the launch is expected to take place somewhere in September.
Full Glass Body
many iPhone 8 leaks suggesting that the next Apple smartphone will use curved glass on the back. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s predicted that Apple will not use aluminum in iPhone 8. The glass body will be held together by a stainless steel frame on the sides.
Different Screen Sizes
the iPhone 8 rumors say it may come in three screen sizes, or even more. According to analysts citing supply chain sources, Apple may launch iPhone 8 variants with 5-inch, and 5.8-inch, screens. How ever the over all body size will roughly be the same as iPhone 7 and 7+.
No Home Buttonno home button on iPhone 8 is the most mentioned rumor among others. leaks suggest that there will be no Home button on iPhone 8 as the company has to adjust the 5 and 5.8 Inch display sizes. In roughly its the same sized body as iPhone 7 and 7+.
And leaks also suggest that the finger print scanner will now be either under the screen or the power button on the side will have this feature.
3D facial Recognition
Since the finger print scanner thing is believed to have fewer chances to make it to the market the leaks suggest that iPhone 8 will also have 3D facial Recognition feature which will make it secure one step further.
New haptic feedback system
Apple will reportedly use a small, high-performance motor in the iPhone 8 to deliver better haptic feedback. So iPhone 8 buyers may get different vibration feedback for each function, such as switching between apps, going back to the Home screen, and unlocking the device.
The wireless charging feature works on surfaces that are non-metal. And since the iPhone 8 is rumored to have Glass body hence there are more chances to support wireless charging.
The ill-fated Samsung Galaxy Note 7 had an iris scanner, and the feature may make its way to the next Apple flagship smartphone as well, according to iPhone 8 leaks. Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple is working on introducing advanced biometric features in the smartphone, so an iris scanner on the iPhone 8 may indeed become a reality. However, some reports say that the iris scanner feature will be ready for 2018, and not next year.
3D Photography Korea Economic Daily says that Apple is studying different ways to use LG Innotek’s 3D camera module in the iPhone 8. LG Innotek’s 3D camera module will be used in the iPhone 8’s dual rear camera system, along with 3D technology.
According to the rumors, the new iPhone 8 will be water resistant for 30 minutes in the depth of about 1.5 meters.
The iPhone 7 and 7+ can resist in depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes and has an IP67 rating, while the iPhone 8 will have rating of IP68.
iPhone 8 Pricing and Release:
The iPhone 8’s price will reportedly be close to $1,000 due to the expensive OLED panels, which are twice as expensive as LCD screens currently used in iPhones. The top-end iPhone 7s Plus 128GB model costs $969 (Rs. 92,000 in India), so a price tag worth of $1,000 is not unimaginable. This price tag has also been tipped by Ming Chi Kuo.
Apple has launched the next iteration of the iPhone in September for several years now, so it’s probably safe to say you can expect to see the official unveiling of iPhone 8 in September 2017. The first phase of iPhone 8 should begin 10 days or two weeks later, most likely on a Friday.
